LEMONS AND EXPECTANT MAMA BEAGLES

We currently have in residence two lemon and white beagles. Our dam is Maxine, a lemon patch from Arkansas--we drove a long way to get this young lady! And she is wonderful mom! She is pretty and likes to hunt, too! Can't beat that combination in a beagle!!

And our male is Lemon Drop. He was in the first litter of beagles that included any lemons. J.R. and I first saw them at night!! And we thought there was something wrong with them! But when morning came, we could see the faint lemon markings on the pups. And they all grew up to be beautiful!!

People are mostly familiar with the traditional tri-color. And whenever we tell them we have lemon pups, they will say, "Well, I'm not interested in a lemon. I want the regular beagle." But when they see the puppies, they just fall in love!! With beagles, it really DOESN'T MATTER what color they are, they just can't be resisted.

These two lemons produce nice puppies. And we look forward to having more lemon and white puppies to continue the Lemon Drop / Maxine line.
Here is a litter with both tricolor and lemon pups. Quiet moments like this are few and far between -- just like with kids. And especially if there are nine pups!!!

Here are two lovely pregnant ladies--due July 15, 2005! The tricolor is Little Bit, a second time mom, and the sire is Boogieman (pix on another page). She has beatiful babies. And Maxine--our Arkansas Lemon Patch. This is the second litter for Maxine and our sire Lemon Drop. Maxine already looks like she is going to have a dozen!! She had 10 in her first litter and was a incredible mom!!
In the front is our HossBreeze, the sire to Freckles' puppies born on October 30, 2005. He has these BEAUTIFUL light-colored eyes (as you can see). Sires really nice pups. In the background is Hoss, our standard 15" male sire. It's a tough job, but some beagle boy has to do it!!

Here is Lizzie. This is her first litter due July 15. The sire of her litter is our High Pines HossBreeze. Lizzie is the daughter of Lizard Creek Boogyman -- a THREE TIME AKC WORLD CHAMPION!! She should produce some nice pups.
The pup to the left is little pregnant Katie - due July 15, 2005. Her second litter and we look forward to seeing this great little beagle mama in action again! For a picture and Katie and her FIRST litter, see the "About Us" section--at the bottom.
